Track Changes Options, Word 2003

In previous versions of Word I was used to seeing a different color
for each editor in a document with Track Changes turned on. In 2003,
that is often not the case, I don't see a way to force Word to use a
different color for different editors. A common problem we've had in
the past (because of how Office is installed) is that everyone's user
information (Tools > Options > User Information) is "Staff" by
default. I always recommend that users change that to their own name
as soon as possible.

In this case, I have a user who has changed "Staff" to her name in
User Information. She is the 2nd or 3rd editor/collaborator on the
document, but all of her changes are the same color as the author's -
default red. We looked at changing the colors in the Track Changes
options, but that only changed the colors for the author, which I am
assuming with change back when the author opens it.

Did something major change when I wasn't paying attention?
