Track Changes

I was told that when I send a document out to a client,
they can see all the changes (or codes) in my document
that i've made, even after i've turned track changes off
and accepted all changes. Something called "Metatext"???
[sp?] Is this true and, if so, is there a way to avoid
this w/o having to strip the document into a new document
and reformatting it? Thanks in advance :)

Someone mentioned using Microsoft Script Editor or a similar program to
view the guts of the Word file.

Usually by opening the file in a plain text editor such as Notepad or
the MS Script Editor, or a hex editor such as UltraEdit.
