Tracking Emails

I am looking for a way to track emails of people who have visited my web
site. How do I do that?

Thanks for your time,
JD

Provide a form inviting your visitors to enter their email addresses.
There is no other way to do this.

What exactly do you mean? When people visit your web site, they are not
emailing you.

If you mean "a way to track emails sent from my web site," the answer is to
use a form for sending email, with a custom Form handler..

Ronx & Kevin,
I will rephrase the question.
If someone logs onto my website, is there a way to capure their email
address so that I can send them additional information? Or do I need to have
them sign a guest book?

Thanks,
JD

Your visitors will, at some stage (most likely the registration
stage), have to fill in a form that asks for their email address. You
will store that address along with their logon userid ands password.

The form could be a registration form, guestbook, or application to go
on a mailing list.
Note that visitors from Europe will need to be able to "opt in" to
receive emails from your site, in order to comply with EEC laws.

No.

Yes...but not a guestbook as then everyone would see it...have them fill in
a form that is emailed to you.
