Training for beginners

Can you suggest a possible format for training for beginners. What I really
want to know is what to include, how far to go?

Hi Ian,

IMHO it depends on the circumstances. Are the participants of the training
colleagues who you know? Then you can tailor the training to the needs in
their working environment. Thats what I am currently doing: Telling a lot
about the Dos&Dont's of our new CI and with that telling a lot about the
basics in PowerPoint.

Or do you want to become a professional trainer, and do not know your
participants before? Then think back to your own learning PowerPoint: What
was most important for you? And ask them, what they need.

And: How much time do you have? How large is the group? What do thy
intend to present?

In any case: Use of layouts and placeholders to facilitate formatting
(theoretical information about masters, but not creating them, only using
ready-made ones). Tips & tricks to save time when copying content.
AutoShapes and their fills.

Kind regards,
Ute
