Transfer folders and emails from Hotmail

Mr B

Greetings,

I've been using Outlook to check my Hotmail account. I have folders and such set up in Hotmail and
can view them fine in Outlook.

However, I'm stopping using my Hotmail accoutn because I got a different one but I don't want to
lose all that data. I'm not sure if just Dragging the folder from the FOlder List from the top
Hotmail section down into the Personal section will do that or if there's more to it. I just don't
want to lose all my emails.

Thanks.

You cannot achieve this when Hotmail is set up in Outlook. You can achieve it if Hotmail is set up in Outlook Express.

Not true. You can set up a new Personal Folders file (Tools -> Options ->
Mail Setup -> Data Files...) and either copy or move the messages you want
to keep to that Personal Folders file.

He wasn't talking about Outlook 2000, since he says he already has a Hotmail
account in Outlook. He has Outlook 2002, obviously.
