Transfer Office licence

I bought Office 2003 last yr at great expense and now have upgraded my PC. I
originally installed Office 2003 on the old PC..how can I transfer the
licence to my new pc? Surely Microsoft does not expect me to buy a whole new
licence for 500 quid?? The version of Office I got (Professional) did not
come with the original pc..I bought it entirely separately.

Just uninstall from the old and install on the new? Perhaps?
