Transfer Windows 98 to Windows XP

Hello, how do I take my old emails (Personal Folders .pst files) in my old machine Windows 98 and transfer the data to my new machine Windows XP. The file is 96MB and I have a dial-up modem. When I try to open the file which is now on my new desk top I get a DLA code and it will not open
