Transferring E-mail accounts

I am switching hard drives on my laptop. I have to
re-install windows as well as office. How do I copy, or
transfer, my outlook e-mails as well as adresses to my new
hard drive? I tried to copy the .pst files, but it won't
allow me to copy them to a CD. Help please....

Is Outlook closed when you try to copy the .pst file? Use C+A+D and ensure
there is no instance of outlook.exe (or mapi if using an older version)
running.

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
