transferring office xp to a different computer

B

Brian

I have 2 computers:
Computer A running MS Office XP Standard
Computer B running Office 2000 Professional.

Today, I have installed Office 2003 on computer A and activated it.

My question is: can I install Word from Office XP Standard on computer B
(and activate it)?

Then yes, you can use Office XP on computer B.

MS Office is a full version (teacher/student), it was not pre-installed -
I
ordered it from citnexus yesterday, it arrived this morning!!
The MS Office XP is a full version (bought [I think] from Amazon.co.uk
several years ago.)

Is Office 2003 a full version or an upgrade? Was it preinstalled on
computer
A or did you buy it from your favorite software vendor?

Thanks for your help JoAnn, I'll get to loading it into the computer today!!
P.S.
I've not a lot else to to today -- it's been pouring down with rain all day
here in North Wales.

Better rain than the freezing sleet we were hit with the other day. Now we
have above freezing temps during the day and below freezing temps at night.
Makes my drive to work a bit hazardous in some spots.

I hope this gets to the board as I cannot seem to post a new question. Even
tho' I've allowed popups from this site, the "New Question" popup is bolocked
but the "Reply" popup is not. Something I'm doing wrong. Anyways....

Continuing the thread of installing Office on a new comuter. Have upgrade
version of Office 2000 Standard on CD-ROM. Prior version is on floppies.
New computer does NOT have floppy drive. I do not have access to a plug-in
diskette drive in order to satisfy the requirement to insert setup disk from
prior version. Any tricks to get around this or do I have to buy the full
new version, which in this case, would be Office 2007 for VIsta Home premium?

ps. If anyone can tell me what else to check so I can post new questions,
I'd apprecaite it!

Assuming you are going to uninstall Office 2000 from your old PC, you
can use the Office 2000 CD as "validation" when you install the upgrade
version of Office 2007.
