I have created a number of line graphs in a Powerpoint presentation. On a
variety of the graphs there are two lines and I would like to transition the
lines in a different times while I am discussing the slide.

Just right-click the chart and choose Custom Animation. Set your chart to
animate by series or by category, whichever works better for your data.

If you need specifics, then we need to know which version of PPT you're
using.

This worked in PPT 2000 but not in 2003. Any advice?

It's pretty much the same thing for 2003 as for 2000 -- choose animate by
category or series -- and it should work in both versions. Please clarify
what you mean by "didn't work in 2003."
