Tri-fold Brochure Paper

I just purchased MS Publisher 2003. I want to create a tri-fold brochure. Is there not a blank template or something that I can do this easily?

Well I did not think it would be that difficult to divide a page up into
three sections.

Take a Template of a tri-fold brochure and delete all the content and you
will have a blank tri-fold brochure.

When you click on a NEW document, you should have a taskpane on the left-side of your window that is full of a vareity of templates...scroll down and you should find BROCHURES. At that point, pick one (you can make lots of changes later) and then you may choose for it to be a 3 or 4 fold brochure. In page set-up, you may choose 8 1/2 by 11 (letter), or 8 1/2 by 14 (legal) paper.

I'm having the same problem. I brought up a tri-fold from designs but even if
you go into Master view, you can't get rid of the background. I've tried
everything, you can only get rid of the text boxes, etc., but going into
format and background won't clear any background graphics when you click on
none. This one is puzzling me big time.

Are you choosing one of the PaperDirect projects?

I don't remember exactly where I was looking but whichever one I found, I
couldn't remove the desing, I still can't do this. Anyway, I did find some in
Publications for Print, Brochures, and the ones in there don't have a
background that can't be removed so I've deleted all the objects in a
tri-fold brochure and am saving it as a blank tri-fold templates.

Before going through all the trouble of creating a tri-fold brochure, make
sure the paper fits in your printer. I have 4 HP printers in my office (both
laser and inket) and even tho the paper states 8 1/2" x 11" the paper DOES
NOT fit in the trays of the printers....it seems to be 1 - 2 mm too wide.
Very frustrating that HP would create a product that does not seem to fit.
