trouble with Outlook 2007 sending emails

When I click send after composing an email, nothing happens for about
30-60 seconds. then it sends. during this time Outlook is semi-frozen.
i can move to the general inbox screen but no other email will open.
I also installed Xobni some months ago and wonder if it is the
culprit. the problem however is a bit random.
