I need help doing the same thing. I know that you must use the slidemaster to
insert anything you want for all slides. Under insert, click on music &
sounds It gives you another window to pull the song from your files I clicked
" MY MUSIC" I scrolled through all songs & selected which one. A small
music icon will appear on your master. But for me the song will only play on
the first slide and will not allow the rest of the presentation to proceed.
I also tried editing by using the effects selection by right clicking the
music icon, but that only made the music keep repeating the entire duration
of the presentation. help what am I doing wrong?

The insertion method is fairly straight forward. Just click on Insert =>
Movies and Sounds ... => Sound from File. Please note however, that unless
the sound file is a small WAV file, it will probably be linked, rather than
inserted. This is important, should you change the location of the original
PPT file.

All that being said, if the sound does not play as it should, post back and
let us know. There are a host of things that can go wrong when mixing
PowerPoint with sounds or movies.

Remove the sound from the master slide (unless you want it to re-start on
each slide that uses that master). Look at this FAQ for additional pointers
on getting sounds to span more that one slide/animation.

**Play sounds across multiple slides (A WAV runs through it)
