Trying to circle a date using the calendar template

I am trying to make a calendar with highlighted or circled dates. I have
selected the calendar template and am attempting to place a text box over
the top of the selected dates. Each time I try the dates (which are not able
to be individually selected or ungrouped) shift. When I send the outlined
graphic to the back (Order) the dates are properly aligned again but the text
box is in the wrong position. Any ideas of a better way to do this?

Put the calendar on the Master page (background for older Publisher versions).
Guidelines would be useful.

Thanks for the response. I did create a Master Page...however, the numbers
are still shifting when I attempt to place the text box on top of the
date...Any other suggestions-or is this the standard "user error" bug?

If you copy/paste the calendar on
the Master Page and then return to
regular view...the components of
the calendar cannot shift when adding
new content.

I am not very familiar with Master Pages, but I was able to get one created.
How do I return to the regular view so that I can circle/highlight dates on
the calendar? Thanks!

Turn Master Page access on
and off by typing...Ctrl+M.
