We were accepting time into the plan today. Everything
was going well, until we started entering "0" into the
Remaining Work fields for tasks that had been completed.
We kept getting the Synch with Actuals alert, and when we
said OK, Project put back some amount of Remaining Work
back on those tasks. And we tried again, and we got the
same alert. The result is that we can't remove that
Remaining Work.
We view the tasks in Task Usage view, and there is no
planned Work left under any resource, but the summary
levels show it being there.
Also, I thought that when you entered "0" in Remaining
Work, it was supposed to move the Finish date to the last
day that Actual Work was entered. However, this did not
happen...it kept the Finish date at the
same point where it had been rescheduled to. Only by
changing
Duration, did we get Project to recalculate correctly.
