Turn of capital letter at begining of each new line in Word.

I have tried to modify Autoformat but that has not worked.

Joseph,
Did you try clearing the "Capatalize first letter of sentence" check box
from the Tools -> AutoCorrect form? Also, try changing the grammar setting
on the Spelling & Grammar tab of the Tools ->Options form. Click the
Settings button under Writing Style. Clear the check box for Capitalization
under Grammar:.

I tried this on Word 2000 and it seemed to work.
