turning off hyperlink messages to HD files under word impossible?

Hi,
Just wondering if it is really impossible to turn off the hyperlink pop ups
messages (under Word 03) when I open .exe or other files on my HD. These
messages are really damaging my productivity at work cause I work a lot on
these. Do I really have to go back to office xp to stop these messages?
(Sorry I posted at 2 different places cause i don't know exactly where to
post exactly)
