Office is not an operating system, therefore your subject makes absolutely
no sense.

Those of us who provide support for variety of different versions of Office
find it useful to be able to run all of the versions we support so we can
test various issues, try different solutions, etc. For programs such as
Outlook which allow only one version at a time, some of us run programs such
as Virtual PC, which allow us to run multiple instances of Windows XP (for
example) at the same time. So, while I can't run Outlook 2002 and 2003 at
the same time in a single instance of Windows XP, I can nonetheless run
Outlook 2002, 2003, 2000, etc. at the same time using different instances of
Windows XP each running as a virtual PC.
