Two contacts folders

I was recently force to start using Exchange here at work. I configured
Outlook XP to pull the messages off of the Exchange server and deliver them
to my .pst folder, which is still pulling new mail from a POP3 server (for
now).

When I use the Rules Wizard to configure sender-based rules I have two
Contacts folders from which to pick names. One has all of my entries, the
other is blank (I assume this has something to do with the Exchange server).

How do I merge the two to get to the point where I have one and only one
contacts folder?

I wish you luck on that one, I've had two with XP with both Office 2000, and now 2003

While I don't know what causes this, I can tell you how
to remove them. THis sounds silly - but give it a try and
you'll see it works. Edit the users profile to remove the
Outlook Address Book, then just readd it - voila, only
one Contacts list in the address list pull downs. (And
no, you don't loose the contacts in your contacts folder -
don't ask me why though <grin>)

Hope this helps,

Bobber

Quite effective. Thanks.

Now the Global Contact List is from the Exchange server, correct?
