Hello,
One of my users have two different archive.pst files in
two different locations:
#1 c:\documents and settings\<username>\application
data\microsoft\outlook\archive.pst (dated Nov 25/03
5:30 pm)
Please note #1 does not have a Local Settings folder.
#2 c:\documents and settings\<username>\local settings\
application data\microsoft\outlook\.archive.pst
(dated Nov 26/03 10:18 am)
The default archive folder location under Tools...
Options... Other tab... AutoArchive is the same as #2.
The properties... AutoArchive tab for the individual
folders in the Folder List have the "Archive items in this
folder using the default settings" radio button selected.
The only thing I did this morning was to change the
Explorer Tools... Folder Options... View tab to select
the "Show hidden files and folders" option so that I can
see the Local Settings folder. I thought it was odd that
#1 did not have a Local Settings folder. It was around
10:18 am. After I did this, the Local Settings folder for
#2 was displayed.
Could this be the reason why there are two different
archive.pst files in two different locations? Is this
fixable? How do I combine the two archive.pst files into
one archive.pst file to be located in #2?
Thank you for your help,
Millie
