Like you, it has been a while since I installed a retail version, but I
believe your first 2 activations are done via the Internet, as long as the

| One last question.
| Do I need to call in to get auth code or will the internet pick it up
| ok if my user/license name and/or business name is the same on both
| systems?

|
| || Yes on both versions. However, if your needs are only Office
|| Standard, you may want to get the Students and Teachers version (if
|| you qualify) as you ca install this version on up to 3 computers and
|| there is no desktop/laptop restriction.

||| When I originally loaded 2k was told that I could "legally" load on
||| my home system AND laptop(only), believe I talked to MS to activate
||| but toooo long to remember.
|||
||| If this is correct, can I do the same with upgrades to 2002/2003?
