Typing statistical symbols

I'm typing a document and need to create a symbol (lower-case p with a
horizontal line directly above it). Any ideas on how to do this? Thanks.

It's a bit clumsy perhaps but you *could* do it with the
Equation Editor..."overbar template". It's a great pity that MS
never adopted some of the ideas of WordPerfect, which allowed
you to do what you want. Perhaps you might be able to find a
font on the 'Net for the purpose. I downloaded a special font
for Chemistry some years ago.

In Microsoft Word you can ask for Help on EQ, which is a
shorthand way of using the Equation Editor even if you have
*not* installed it :)
