On MS Word there is an option called "overtype" It deletes
the text in front of the curser as you type. I have never
found a use for it, but I turned it on inadvertantly. I
hate it please help me remove it.

Press your "Insert" key a second time (you turned insertion off by
accidently pressing the Insert key already).
