Unable to change styles in frames

Hi,
Using Word XP. I am using frames to keep graphics and
captions together, and to place them either at the top or
bottom of a page in a large document. Recently, when I
change the style of a paragraph in a frame, that text
jumps from the frame to the body of the document and the
frame resizes. I don't know what changed, but I didn't
have this behaviour recently.

If you apply a style whose formatting does not include a frame, then this
will happen. There are two workarounds:

1. Define your graphic and caption styles to include the frame (iffy).

2. Apply styles to the graphic and caption before inserting the frame (or
reinsert it after applying the styles).
