Unable to complete installation of Office 2007 BETA 2

S

Supplystud

I have tried several times to install Office Pro 2007 BETA 2. I get about
1/5 of the way throught the progress bar and it tells me that the
installation encountered an error and it has to be stopped. It then asks me
if I want to restart my system to continue the installation. I have answered
YES and NO three times each. If I say yes the system will restart, but the
installation process does not restart on its own. If I restart it manually
it does the same thing. I have tried to install MS Office Groove 2007 with
the same results.

I have tried stopping all programs in the background to include my
anti-virus and firewall. That did not work.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Any advice on this at all?

If you go to
Start=>Run and type
%temp% {enter key}
and look through the most recent setup logs for Office does it give any specifics on an error or at what point it backed out of the
install?

Is this on Windows XP or Windows Vista B2?
Do you have a lot of disk space on the drive you're installing to and are you logged in as Administrator?
