mailbox or a PST?
Nope cant do any of those things. Outlook 2007. How do I know whether its
exchange or
pst.
I get this message when I try to delete anything. (Errors have been
detected in the file
C:\users\jerry\app data\local\microsoft\outlook\outlook.pst. Quit outlook
and all mail-enabled
applications, and then use the inbox repair tool
I have tried that and can't find any scanpst.exe repair tool.
Brian Tillman said:Yes you do. Look at the error message you yourself included. It explicitly
mentions the PST.
And why didn't you include all of the details when you posted initially?
You should see it on your Start menu, either under Start>Microsoft Office
Tools>Inbox repair Tool or under Start>Microsoft Office>Microsoft Office
Tools>Inbox Repair Tool. If you don't see it there, SCANPST.EXE is in
%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office\Office12. Run that program and when it
assks for a PST, enter the exact file path contained in the error message.
I am not a computer pro and was just looking for help.
As I stated I have tried to find that inbox tool and it doesnt appear
anywhere. I tried all of your
suggestions on how to find it and have not been able to.
I read
somewhere that I could set up another pst. I tried that but apparently my
calendar & contacts did not transfer over. Thanks!
