Unable to display the folder h:\outlook\mathew.pst

I work and a mid sized company running windows 2000
workstations and servers, with a mixture of office 2000 -
office 2000 sr-3. about 10 days ago, users started
getting the message "Unable to display the folder
h:\outlook\userspstfile.pst" when receiving or sending e-
mail (basically anything that accesses the pst file, but
it doesn't happen all the time, maybe only 20% of the time)
if you look at the drive mappings you can see the pst file
on the server...but user most often needs to restart
outlook to get thier messages. I have upgraded the users
outlook to sr-3, also changed thier idle off time for
server connections to unlimited and nothing has seemed to
correct the problem

any suggestions?
