Unable to download template; Office XP vs. Office 2003

I am using Office XP 2002 SBE from CD on a new computer that has a trial
version of Office 2003 which I have not activated. When I try to download a
word template, my computer immediately goes to an "Install 2003" dialog. My
certification code from the Office XP 2002 CD is not recognized and I am
unable to download the template.

What's going on? How do I fix it?

Office XP SBE was OEM only and, as such, is forever tied to your old system
and may *NOT* be installed on any other. When the system it was sold with is
taken out of usage - however that may have happened - then the licence is
voided.

If you want Office on your new system, you're going to have to cough up and
convert that trial.
