Unable to index under Quick Search options in Outlook 2007

I installed Outlook 2007 on my Windows XP machine. Afterwards, I also
installed the Windows Desktop Search. WDS is indexing all my outlook
data. But the Instant Search within Outlook itself is not indexing the
data.

In Outlook, I am unable to choose any files to index. Under the Instant
Search Options>Indexing>Indexing and Search Tabs are blanked out. Any
suggestions on how I can fix this would be appreciated.
