Unable to install Office 2000

I am trying to install Office 2000 Pro on a newly
formatted machine. When I put the CD it doesn't auto start
and when I try to explore it eventually will tell me the
CD drive is not accessible, incorrect function. I can
install any other CD software fine and I can install this
CD on other machines. What could be blocking this install?

If you have the hard drive space try copying the CD to a folder on the drive
and run setup from there.

perhaps your ineptness prevents your computer from
installing the program
