unable to open default email folder **Outlook 2003**

To whom it may concern:

I have been experiencing the same problem for a day now. After
research on the net and finding nothing, I decided to just "play" with
some of the settings to see what I can come up with. By just
unchecking "Use Cached Exchange Mode" I fixed the problem on this
particular users machine (Win2k sp4). I also verified that OWA still
worked without cached mode enabled. As to the specs on why that fixed
the problem, that's going to take a little more time and research.
