Unable to Open digitally signed E-mails

Chief J in Baghdad IRAQ

Does anyone know how to fix the error "unable to open the item due to an
unspecified error" I'm using Windows XP and Outlook 2003. I receive this
error when I attempt to open digitally signed e-mails.
