Hello,
I have a form that is used for corrective action processing. Occasionally,
we will find that something needs to be changed, and will make the update.
We archive the older version (.xsn) and save the filename with a date and
version. I am a contractor and sign the form for full trust with my
certificate. Due to contractor status, my cert expires every few months
(pending renewal). I update the cert and the filename doesn't change (it
only changes when there is a change to form design).
I've found that .xml files created with a form that was signed with an old
cert cannot be opened. Is this because I renamed the old file something
different and IP no longer recognizes the form used? I get the following:
InfoPath cannot open this file because the certificate used to sign this form
is corrupt or has expired.
How can avoid this? Keep renewing the file and keep the same file name?
This doesn't make sense for design changes since we need to know from a
configuration standpoint which version of the form was in use at any given
point in time.
Help is appreciated,
