Unable to outdent task

In Microsoft Project, click Help - About Microsoft Office Project. The top
line in the dialog shows your current service pack level. To eliminate all
of the known and fixed bugs, I would recommend you upgrade to SP2 as soon as
possible. That should eliminate your outdenting problems and others you
have not encountered yet. Hope this helps.

I have 3 tasks and I indent 2 and 3 so that task 1 is now the sumary.

I wanted to get rid of Task 1, but that also deletes 2 and 3.

So I assumed that I would have to outdent tasks 2 and 3 first. But it won't
let me outdent Task 2. It will let me outdent Task 3. Now if I delete Task
1 it deletes Task 2 also (but not 3).

How do I get Task 2 outdented?

Is there an easier way to delete a summary task?

Thanks,

Tom

Am doing that now.

I did notice that the KB you mentioned (832887) isn't mentioned.

Well, we will see how it goes.

Thanks,

I installed it and it is working pretty well now.

I did discover what my problem was with my Duration problem in my other
post. It had to do with having any work done. If you have any work done on
a task, it locks the start date. I will post the problem there.

Thanks,

Tom
