Unable to print text on background

I have been trying repeatedly to print a document with a background. Either
text prints if background is removed or background prints alone with text
still there. Preview shows both intact. I have tried sending back and forward
and it seems to make no difference. Has anyone else had this problem?

Yes, it is. I was able to print the whole thing before. Now I am trying the
07 version as a trial and it won't work.
