I've just migrated from OE6 to Outlook 2000 after changing
from Peer-to-peer to a server based domain running W2003,
still using POP3 for the moment, and I find I can't reply
to incoming email. Incoming is OK as is sending of newly
created emails.
I get the 'unable to relay' error message 0x800CCC79.
I understand this, but what I can't see is that my Outlook
client server settings etc are exactly the same as under
the OE6 settings.
I could maybe activate Exchange with a POP3 utility and
route all email rthrough Exchange, but until I understand
and overcome the SMTP sending problem I don't see that
this will advance me.
Ideas, anyone? TIA
