Unable to remove Shared Add-in Support or Shared Add-in Extensibil

M

MJLoader

I have been told that I need to remove both of these programs in order to
install two new .msi files that support a program I am using. I attempted to
remove from the Control Panel and the system appears to process but does not
remove eith program. I also attempted to repair the files w/o success.

Any suggestions?

Me too... with same problem - but finally got them uninstalled. Then again -
my main issue wasn't actually solved after removal. And you will likely
break some other add-in.

You need two MSIs - ExtensibilityMSM.msi and LockBackRegKey.msi.

In my case, I found them on an Encarta Student 2008 CD - and I uninstalled
the sub-product that used those Add-Ins.

Reinstall those msi files. You will likely need to first delete the keys to
the installed "Shared Add-In Support" products under HKCR\Installer\Products

In my case, those keys were:
11E95990D5DAE80469FA3E4396456D8B
C51B3F467C42B2B4B92756CCBB7D0FB6

Verify these are correct for the Add-Ins..

Once you reinstall the msi's above - try conventional uninstall. Worked for
me..
