Unblocking email links

Hi. I have a problem with Outlook Email. Whenever I try to click on a link
in an email to a reliable HTTP address, it advises "This operation has been
cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact
your system administrator". This is a home PC. It has Norton protection and
the email in question are not in my junk email... does anyone know how I can
resolve this so I can click on links in my email? Many thanks in advance.

You are replying to a 45-MONTH OLD thread. Remember to check the datestamps
when replying.

This isn't an Outlook issue but rather with the setup of the web browser.
The version of IE was never mentioned in the ancient thread but it obviously
couldn't be version 8 (released in Mar 2009) in the thread started back in
March 2006. It probably wasn't even version 7 (released in Oct 2006). You
never mentioned WHICH version you are using, either.

This is an old problem and a Google search on the actual error message
would've exposed the solution. A "me too" post isn't necessary, especially
on such an old thread.

Operation cancelled due to restrictions:
