Outlook doesn't automatically add "Undisclosed Recipient" to an e-mail
message. You can put your DL in the BCC field to hide the addresses from
the recipients, but you should put a real address (such as your own) in the
To field to make sure the message is sent and received properly. Some ISPs
won't deliver messages without a valid address in the To field, and some
junk mail filters will delete messages with nothing there, as well.
Finally, there is a bug in some old mail servers where a message with
addresses only in the BCC field will end up with those addresses in the To
field instead...thereby completely destroying the concept of BCC
What I did for myself was to create a new contact called "Hidden Recipient
List" and attach my own e-mail address to it. I then address my message
with the HRL contact in the To field and the other addresses in BCC. Now
when the recipients get my message they will just see it addressed to
"Hidden Recipient List" and that should help them figure out that they've
been BCC'd. (They can still see my e-mail address, of course, either in
their e-mail list or by looking at the properties of "Hidden Recipient
List"...but it's more like "Undisclosed Recipient" this way.)
