Uninstall issues with Office 2007 non-beta

Gil Tennant

My attempt to completely remove Office Enterprise 2007 have had limited
success. I want to go back to Office 2003 for technical compatibility issues
and performance.

Here's what I've done so far...

Ran Installer
Right-clicked on all of the "2007" office .msi packages, and selected
UNINSTALL.
This worked for all but "Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007" .msi file.

When I click on to uninstall, the status window appears, then disappears.
There appears to be some activity for 20 seconds or so, then the INSTALLER
screen is refreshed with the "Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007" .msi still
left. It is not removed like the others. No error is shown, and no feedback
indicates there was a problem.

When I use Add/Remove programs to uninstall the same entry, the process
takes about 3 minutes, then a "Setup error" pops up indicating "The language
of this installation package is not supported by your system".

I can't get rid of this last remaining module.

I could not locate manual instructions for removal, for anything other than
beta product, and had planned on using the ones found at:

http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=629070&SiteID=17

....for the remainder of the operation, if need be.

Can anyone help me complete this so I can get back to Office 2003?

Thank you in advance.

I never had beta or trial installed. Do these instructions still apply?

Thanks!

Sorry to reply to my own post...

I have the tool Windows Installer Cleanup, which, as I understand it, simply
takes the entries out of Add/Remove programs, but does not remove the files
associated with the entry, is that correct?
