Uninstall Project 98 without the CD

M

Mike Del Duke

I have an old laptop that I want to give to my nephew. It has Project 98
installed and I want to remove it. I don't have the original install CD.
How can I remove it? Would I be violating a license thing by leaving it
installed?

Hi Mike,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Use Control Panel/Add or Remove programs.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Mike,

Thanks for the quick response. I wasn't clear. When I go to the control
panel and use add/remove programs ti uninstall Project 98, it prompts me for
the CD to do the uninstall. I can't get by it.

Hi Mike,

I don't have a pat answer. Do you know anyone who has the CD? You could
delete all reference to Project 98 from the registry, if you're happy with
registry editing, and then delete all the folders. Or just delete the
program folders.
