uninstall

Someone installed MS Publisher on my laptop (XP Pro,
SP1+all updates except SP2). I don't use it & need the
disk space, but when I came to uninstall it there was no
mention of it in the uninstall c/panel.

I'd like to know how to get rid of it without leaving a
lot of broken registry links and unused shared components.

What version of Pub is it? And why are people loading software on your
laptop without your permission?

'about' in Help just says it's Publisher 2000, and of
course I don't have the install disc - I lent my laptop to
a friend whose laptop had died - she asked permission to
install stuff on in, but I just assumed I'd be able to
uninstall it from c/panels. However, thanks to Mary's
reply, I now know that if I borrow the installation CD,
all will be accomplished...

Try looking under "Microsoft Office 2000 Disc 2" - that's a traditional
place for Publisher 2000 to lurk on an uninstall menu.
