In Word 2003, our IT manager and I were able to uninstall (or choose not to
install) all of the tabbed, bundled templates that came with Word (i.e., keep
them from showing in the general template dialog box). We have our own custom
templates that are grouped under tabs. When we updated a few of our systems
to Office 2007, we were also able to uninstall those templates.
The problem is that we were trying to do the same thing in a new computer
that came pre-loaded with Office 2007, and we can't get the templates to go
away. It only seems to be an issue with systems that come pre-loaded, not
with systems we upgraded ourselves.
Can anyone help me out with this? I've searched the knowledge base and
gotten nothing.
Thanks,
Wendy
