Uninstalling Pre-release and installing BETA

I have a question that maybe someone can answer for me. I have the
pre-release version of Office and now I want to install the BETA version. I
can not upgrade without uninstalling the older version. Now if I uninstall
the older version, will I loose all of my files that I have created? Or will
they come back when I install the new release? Thanks for any body's help
with this.

What do you mean "pre-release" version? Did you have Beta 1 or Beta 1
Technical Refresh?

You should always back up any important files, just in case.

Are you suggesting that setting a system restore point before
installing O_2007_Beta_2 (and after deinstalling any earlier Office
version) is not sufficient?

(I wouldn't, in any case, install a beta on my productive machine.)

Just wanted to let everyone know, that Yes I had the pre-release verison and
I backed up all my files before I uninstalled then installed the BETA
Version. Happily, I didn't even have to do this, all my files were there and
opened perfectly.I have not had any problems with any of the Office programs.
All running very smoothly with no glitches on my machine. However, I would
recommend that you back up any files that are important then uninstall and
intsall new software. Thanks for the help everyone!
