unselect a word

Hi Sarah
i think range.select highlights a word?
how would you unselect a word?

range.select selects the range,
very different from highlighting.
selection.words(1).select
selects the first word in the range.
Selection.collapse reduces the selection to a length of 1.
Not so with selection.range:

Selection.Collapse
MsgBox Len(Selection.Text)
MsgBox Len(Selection.Range.Text)
