Unwanted Characters

When typing a document, unwanted characters that I didn't type appear. I cannot complete a document without these interruptions.

Try clicking ¶ on the standard toolbar.

Or see if speech recognition is on.

If neither of those help, you need to be more specific about what you mean
by "unwanted characters," and post OS and Word version numbers.
