Unwanted color in cells of spreadsheet. How do I remove the color?

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel I transferred data from a Numbers spreadsheet. When I did that I have a deep blue color in the Excel spreadsheet. I have been unable to completely remove the color from the cells. I have removed the deep blue but there is a residual light blue there and the color of the contents is white. I want the cells to be normal. No color and black type.

Hi,

what happens if you select the cells and then click on Edit>Clear>Formats?
