Upgrade from Standard to Pro?

is there a upgrade price US for standard 2003 to pro 2003?

That is a pre 2003 upgrade. Before the Microsoft acquisition, there was an
option to upgrade from standard to pro (of the same version), but it was not
widely publicized.

Most of those answering questions in these newsgroups are well versed on how
the program works, but not the intricies of licensing and upgrades.

Hopefully someone internal will be able to answer.

It's actually not possible to install the Visio 2003 Pro upgrade over Visio
2003 Standard. The upgrade only works on prior versions.

So we need to rattle some cages to get this as an option. For previous
versions, pre Microsoft, it was possible to obtain a special upgrade from
Pro to Tech or Tech to Pro, but it was not widely known.

Speaking of which - I'm about to upgrade from Visio 2002 Pro
to 2003 Standard, but I'm wondering if I can use the 2002 Pro
stencils in 2003 Standard... ? 2003 Standard apparently has quite a
few less stencils than Pro does.

You should be able to use the stencils, but there is no guarantee that the
add-ons will continue to work.
