Upgrade Office XP with a full version of Office 2003?

We are purchasing a number of licences and software for Office Professional
2003 for a number of new computers we are buying. At the same time I want to
upgrade some existing machines from Office XP to Office 2003. Can I do this
using the same software or do I require to purchase upgrade versions?

As long as you have a license for each installation you can do either. So,
do the cheapest.
