Upgrade to 60-day trial

F

Fred

I bought a laptop for my son and it has a 60-day trial version of Office
2003 Student and Teacher Edition, which he is now using. I plan to buy the
academic version of Office 2003 Professional. Will I need to uninstall the
trial version now on the laptop before installing the new version, or can I
just install over top of it. Or can I just enter the license ID into the
trial copy and convert it to a permanent copy? I'm concerned that if I just
do that, I may lose some functionality that's in Professional that isn't in
the trial. Whatever I do, I don't want to disrupt any files or settings
that my son is already using in the trial copy. What's the easiest and
least disruptive way to handle this?
